Assookinakii

The Assookinakii cowl was designed for those times in life when you need a healing and meditative knit to put your worries, dreams, or hopes into. Assookinakii (ass-s-oo-kin-uh-k-EE) means “healer” in the Blackfeet language. During times of unrest in my life I often lose my ‘knitting mojo’ and I need a straightfoward yet intriguing project to get my creative energy back on track. Through knitting we mend what troubles our hearts.

ALL PROCEEDS TO THIS PATTERN GO DIRECTLY TO SISTERS UNITED

PATTERN: Pattern $6 can be found on Ravelry and NOT included in kit.

YARN:  Kit includes the following yarn:  1 skein Farmer's Daughter Foxy Lady (fingering weight, 70% wool/30% silk, 428 yds); 1 skein Primrose Homestead (sport weight, 100% merino wool, 250 yards); Plucky Knitter Plume Lace (lace weight, 74% suri alpaca/26% silk, 328 yards). 

NEEDLES:  Size US 5 & US 6 - needles NOT included in kits.

GAUGE: 31 stitches = 4 inches

DIMENSIONS: 

One Size (23’’ around and 10’’ tall)

This is a simple knit that is easy to modify into a longer length if needed.
